When choosing a condo near the BTS, many people wonder which building is the best option, especially in projects with multiple buildings, including those adjacent to the main road and those set further inside. I have encountered this situation before, so I’d like to share my perspective and some guidelines to help find the most suitable choice for each person.
Buildings Near the Road: Convenient but Noisy
Buildings adjacent to the main road are an excellent choice for those who prioritize convenience. They offer quick access to public transportation, making it easy to enter the project without walking too far. Additionally, some developments have shops, restaurants, or cafes at the front, further enhancing the ease of daily living.
However, the downside of living near the road is the noise from passing vehicles. On major roads with traffic 24 hours a day, nighttime disturbances can be a problem. Another often overlooked issue is the dust from the road, which may require more frequent cleaning.
For those interested in a road-adjacent building but concerned about noise, choosing a unit that faces away from the road can help reduce disturbances significantly.
Inner Buildings: Quieter but Require More Walking
For individuals who prioritize peace and quiet, an inner building is a more suitable option. The reduced noise from the road creates a more relaxing atmosphere, making it ideal for those who seek rest after work or value privacy.
The drawback of inner buildings is the additional walking distance from the project entrance. Some may find this inconvenient, especially during rainy weather. Additionally, if the project has retail shops at the front, staying in an inner building may require walking back and forth for essentials.
Which Building is the Best Choice?
The answer depends on the purpose of the purchase. If buying for personal residence and valuing tranquility, an inner building is the better choice. However, if purchasing for rental investment or prioritizing travel convenience, a building near the road is preferable.
For those concerned about road noise but still wanting accessibility, selecting a unit in a road-adjacent building that faces inward can be a good compromise. Additionally, when considering resale value, buildings with a good view or those near the project entrance often have higher demand and are easier to sell.
Regardless of the choice, the most important factor is assessing personal needs before making a decision to ensure that the selected unit aligns with lifestyle and living preferences.
